Jonathan C. Ascher received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Drake University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh, where he placed on the Dean’s List, was awarded the Robert Murphy Academic Scholarship, and was selected to the Big East All-Academic Team in soccer. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Iowa.

His practice is focused in the areas of workers’ compensation and occupational disease litigation. This includes the successful representation of numerous employers, including commercial retailers, moving companies, trucking companies, school districts, local municipalities, health-care providers, construction companies, and both small and large corporate entities. Mr. Ascher practices before Workers’ Compensation Judges throughout western Pennsylvania, the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Ascher frequently lectures on workers’ compensation topics to insurance companies, third party administrators, and employers. He counsels employers on risk management issues that assists them in handling and defending their workers’ compensation cases.

He was acknowledged by Law & Politics and the Philadelphia Magazine as a Rising Star Super Lawyer in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. From 2010-2019, Mr. Ascher was named by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer as published by American Lawyer Media and Philadelphia Magazine. The Best Lawyers in America, a highly respected national peer-review publication, selected Mr. Ascher for inclusion in its most recent 2020 Edition in the category of Workers’ Compensation Law (Employers).
