Richard L. Manilla received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Claude W. Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University in 2014, where he earned a Certification in Complex Civil Litigation and clerked for the Honorable Gregory L. Frost of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011.
Mr. Manilla concentrates his practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims in Pennsylvania for employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. He has represented clients before Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Judges and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). His clients are diverse, including the representation of national corporations and small, locally owned businesses as well as the hospitality, trucking, and retail industries, among others.
Prior to joining Berman Voss, Mr. Manilla was a civil litigator representing clients before Courts of Common Pleas throughout Pennsylvania as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. His practice was primarily focused on litigation relating to industrial accidents, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian accidents, and workers’ compensation.
