Benedict R. Heinz received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Widener University Commonwealth School of Law in 2006. In law school, he earned a certificate from the Law & Government Institute, where his studies focused on the practice before Administrative Law Judges and government agency review and appeal. He received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in 2003.  He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Heinz provides strategy advice to clients on all aspects of Pennsylvania workers’ compensation claims from acceptance versus denial decisions through the entire claims litigation and handling process along with matters before the Appeal Board and Pennsylvania Appellate Courts.    

Prior to joining Berman Voss, he served as a law clerk for Commissioner Robert Krebs at the Appeal Board and practiced at a boutique law firm as well as at large regional defense firms, representing insurance carriers and self-insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims.

In 2015, Mr. Heinz was certified as a specialist in the practice of Workers' Compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
