Elizabeth Wiese received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2014, where she achieved a Civil Litigation certificate for her efforts with Moot Court and the Elder Law Clinic. She received her Bachelor of the Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she studied political science and Spanish. She is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Ms. Wiese focuses her practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims. She represents a wide array of clients, including national corporations and small, locally owned businesses, in the hospitality, trucking, and retail industries, among others. She practices at both the local and appellate level.
Ms. Wiese has been recognized for her efforts by The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, a highly respected national peer-review publication, as she was selected for inclusion in both the 2020 and 2021 Editions in the category of Workers’ Compensation Law (Employers).
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wiese worked at large civil defense firms in Pittsburgh where she focused her practice on Workers’ Compensation, Toxic Tort, General Liability, and Employment Law. Prior thereto, Ms. Wiese was employed by a criminal defense firm in Butler where she represented criminal defendants in all aspects of their litigation. Ms. Wiese also interned for Senior District Judge Joy Flowers Conti at the US District Court of the Western District of PA during law school.
